Grace Kingsbury explained "I came to McLean for Outpatient Therapy for my neck, and it really helped. Then my husband and I joined the warm water pool classes. Arnold Francis, of Windsor Locks, remembered that he came into the McLean Post Acute Rehab Center from the hospital after a double knee replacement and told his McLean therapist that Sunday upon arrival that he hoped to go home Wednesday. Low and behold he did just that, with a 120 degree bend in each leg. "When I went a few days later for Outpatient Therapy, the therapist asked immediately where I went for Post Acute care. He could not believe how well I was doing so soon. McLean was my surgeon's first choice, and I am so glad I came here. McLean is a first-class place."

Everyone also enjoyed live country music a remarkable buffet from McLean's Dining Services, and visiting booths on McLean's Assisted Living Program, Independent Living in the Village, Adult Day Center, Home Care, and Rehab. McLean is very grateful to its Rehab Reunion corporate sponsors: New Balance of Avon, Better Healthcare of Farmington, Companions & Homemakers, and Hear Again. Many raffle winners were delighted with the prizes from the vendors and McLean departments. For the 9th time, everyone was buoyed by the amazing courage of the clients to complete their therapy, and enter into healthy living practices to have better lives with the help of an exceptional team of McLean nurses, aides, therapists and social workers.

Carole Pagani, of Simsbury, was a speaker at the event, telling her "saga of being a repeat offender" and ending up as the cover story for the McLean Annual Report because of her determination and success after two knee operations. She thanked every therapist who worked with her in the Comprehensive Joint Replacement Program, from her pre-hospital wellness preparation program, to Post Acute to Outpatient who "knew me and what my surgeon wanted. To therapists, aides, nurses and the doctor were so caring, kind and considerate of both of my challenges - recovering from the loss of my husband and my operations."

Arnold Francis and his wife enjoy visiting the booths at the Rehab Reunion and sharing his recovery.

John Robinson spent six weeks at the McLean Health Center for rehabilitation after his stroke. He celebrated with his therapists, Cristi Donato and Michelle Herbert, that he is walking so well at this point.

Fawn Oldham, PT, and Hap Poole joke about his antics while she gave him Outpatient Therapy.

John and Donna Tally are fondly welcomed by John's therapist Nevenka Strbuncelj.
