McLean Hospice Plans a Special Event on November 25, 2014.
The 6th annual Lights of Hope celebration with unveiling of our
newest Hospice Memorial Quilt
On Tuesday, November 25th at 6:30 PM, McLean Hospice will unveil the newest Hospice Memorial Quilt in its collection. Each square is designed as a remembrance of a loved one who passed away in 2013. Many hospice family members as well as hospice volunteers were involved in the creation of this beautiful quilt.
Following the quilt unveiling McLean Hospice will celebrate the Lights of Hope community bereavement support service. All members of the Simsbury community are invited to attend this special evening celebrating and honoring lost loved ones. The program will include readings of encouragement, music and reflection, with a reception following.
The event will be held by the fireplace in the main lobby at McLean Health Center, 75 Great Pond Road in Simsbury from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Please call the Response Hotline at
860-408-5150 if you are interested in attending.
Dottie Szypulski, quilter, is shown standing next to the 2012 Memorial quilt which she volunteered her time and talent to create. These are beautiful works of art sewed lovingly from squares submitted by hospice families. Hospice Memorial Remembrance Quilts from 2013 and previous years will be on display during the event November 25th.
