Join McLean’s Memory Care Volunteer Program to provide support to caregivers

The McLean Memory Care Volunteers provide non-medical services as needed for the Memory Care client and their family.  The broad range of services for clients may include one-to-one social interaction, sharing a passion for art or teaching a new hobby, music therapy, writing someone’s life history, reading aloud, or just simply engaging in conversation.  Clients may be served in their home or in assisted living or in a skilled nursing facility.

 It is easy to get started with a few simple steps and you can begin to make a difference in the lives of seniors and their care givers.

American Heart Month

The Outpatient Rehabilitation Team supports WEAR RED for American Heart Association.

This awesome team of experienced physical, occupational and speech staff provide comprehensive individualized therapy services using state-of-the-art equipment in a large gym with private treatment rooms. Our warm-water pool also allows us to utilize aquatic therapy. Our services benefit a wide range of diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, medical and musculoskeletal.

McLean's Award-Winning Home Care Team shows their support of American Heart Month by donning RED.

McLean's Home Care is a dedicated team who educate and partner with patients and caregivers. They have innovative and specialized programs like Living with Heart Failure, Breathe Easy Program for COPD and Comprehensive Joint Rehabilitation to help keep patients in their homes.

American Heart Month

It is Heart Healthy Month and the Recreation Activities Team shows it's support by wearing RED.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend, "Physical activity can help you maintain a healthy weight and lower cholesterol and blood pressure. The Surgeon General recommends that adults should engage in moderate-intensity exercise for at least 30 minutes on most days of the week. For more information, see CDC's Nutrition and Physical Activity Program Web site."
