McLean Hospice Volunteers Participate in Cutting Edge Training

More than twenty-five of the sixty-five McLean Hospice Volunteers attended the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization Volunteer Day.  It was a day set aside especially for Hospice volunteers to continue education and was a component part of the national 2012 Hospice Volunteer Leadership Virtual Conference entitled Ignite the Future.

While the week had been primarily set aside as a virtual conference for leaders of hospice volunteers, the Volunteer Day was a specially designed webinar conference.  The day featured expert speakers, six relevant topics, facilitator discussion guides and ability for national chats amongst volunteers themselves.
