McLean will host a free presentation on “The Benefits of Moving During the Winter Months and What your Family Heirlooms are Really Worth” September 15, 2014, in The Burkholder Community Center at 1:00 PM. The presentation will feature a panel discussion with three experts in the fields of Real Estate and Estate Liquidation. Downsizing and moving during the winter can have its benefits. Since many Americans downsize and move during the warmer months, typically May through September, many may find less sales competition due to fewer houses on the market, and more attention from real estate professionals, banks, and moving companies as they try to stay busy during the typically slower, colder months. Also, as part of the downsizing process, many people have trouble parting with beloved family heirlooms. Learning what their value is, both monetary and emotional, can help make the decision easier. Information and handouts will be provided and light refreshments will be served. To RSVP, please contact Karen Murphy at (860) 658-3786, or Karen.Murphy@mcleancare.org. Meet our
